From a profound and moving experience at an Inma at Uluru in 1981, singer-songwriter Shane Howard created the song Solid Rock that passed into folklore and the Australian psyche. It was one of the first songs of its idiom to broach the subject of Aboriginal rights in Australian and impacted pwerfully on a whole new generation of writers and musicians that followed.
Solid Rock is an inspirational Australian story, stunningly illustrated by school children from Mutitjulu Kalyukatjara and the Imanpa communitites, together with brilliant images of Uluru and surrounding landscapes by renowned Queensland artist Peter Hudson. This book is destined to make its way into the hearts of Australians everywhere.
